Additional tips

When you sign  up for these restaurants and store loyalty programs, it might be a good idea to create a separate e-mail address, so your regular e-mail inbox doesn’t get flooded with all these freebie e-mails and coupons.

If you signed up for a freebee, remember to bring a printout of the offer and your ID.

Contact the restaurant or store that you plan on visiting to confirm that the free birthday offer.

If it’s a “no purchase required” offer, such as a free lotion or drink,, don’t feel obligated to buy anything. Just say “thank you” and leave.

Many restaurants may give you a free dessert or a drink on your birthday when you order a meal. So let them know when you make the reservation or let the hostess or server know when they take your  order.
