Yi Jean is an Investment Manager at innogy New Ventures, the corporate VC team of a multinational energy utility, focused on investing in energy, smart cities and new mobility startups. She was previously Head of Product at Verv, an energy start-up, and started her career in operations and strategic consulting. She has lived in Boston, New York, Kuala Lumpur, London, and is now based in San Francisco; she is also host and creator of a podcast, ‘Distributing Solar’, interviewing entrepreneurs working in off-grid solar in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Latin America.
