Dominika Miernik is an award-winning Career and Expat Coach with over 20 years of living and working abroad in countries like Poland, Italy, the UK and France. Over the past 10+ years, she has been helping expat and globally mobile women to create fulfilling careers and businesses around their international lives. She works with individuals and expat support organisations. And is a mentor for expat coaches. Currently, she is enjoying a laptop lifestyle while travelling across Europe.

Where are you originally from and where do you currently live?

I’m originally from Poland. Curently splitting my time between Rome (Italy) and Nice (France) and when it is possible exploring different countries

What has been one rewarding thing about living abroad?

Learning new languages and exploring new cultures. It helped me to open new professional opportunities.

What is one fun or random fact about you that people don’t know?

I’m vegetarian and regularly exercise (I love yoga and pilates and just discovered cardio dance). It took me a while to develop my work routine. I’m still learning French.

What is one tip you would like to share with new expats

Learn the language and explore the country you’re moving into. The locals will appreciate that, and it will make everything more manageable for you.

What I like about being a member of The Expat Woman is connecting with other fantastic expat women living in different parts of the world. All the fantastic events Nyna is organising and hosting for us.
